I am looking to purchase a new head gasket from Lotus Marques, can I get a Lotus twin cam cylinder head gasket at about 0.040" in thickness?.

ANSWER
There is a manufacturing tolerance for the composite gasket material of between 1.1 to 1.2mm
When the material is compressed (cylinder head installed and torqued) the compressed thickness is slightly less than 1.0mm
