The Lotus Esprit catch handle assembly employs simple domed headed fasteners in securing the glass sun roof to the rear opening mechanism.
The design of the threaded fasteners is simple enough but they have a habit of working loose and escaping from the glass roof.

Our thanks go to Julian Goldacre in Western Australia for the loan of the catch handle assembly and providing the incentive to manufacture the domed fasteners.
Unfortunately there are no single component replacement from the Lotus Factory.
Lotus Marques has received sufficient number of customer requests to make it viable to manufacture a batch of these fasteners.
First step was to produce a CAD engineering drawing so these components could be machined from a stainless steel billet.
Once fully machined,the threaded buttons were carefully prepared and coated with black epoxy paint leaving a hard durable glass-like finish.
Price for a set of four threaded buttons is $60.00 plus GST
