The instructions below are provided by ARP to ensure the correct procedure is followed when installing 10mm flywheel bolts on a Datsun L16 or L18 crankshaft that has been converted to suit a Lotus twin cam engine.
Please note carefully - The original Lotus torque specifications in the workshop manual should be ignored.
Part # 203-2801
Application: Lotus twin cam 10mm flywheel bolts
1) Please check the part numbers for your application against the part number listed on the instruction sheets.
2) Do NOT use any washers with ARP flywheel bolts as they are designed to be installed without them.
3) ARP will not be responsible for any failure resulting from using a washer with this kit
4) Make sure the flywheel bolt holes are chamfered adequately to clear the radius under the head of the bolt
5) Lubricate teh bolt under the head of the bolt with ARP Moly Assembly Lubricant and torque the bolts to 85ft/lbs
(For 30wt motor oil, torque the bolts to 105ft/lbs
