The original anti-roll bar to lower control arm bush (Lotus part number A079C4045F) has been obsolete for several years.
This situation leaves early Lotus Esprit owners with few choices as to what to fit as a suitable replacement.
The same rubber bush was fitted as standard equipment on the Lotus Esprit series 1 and series 2.
Lotus Marques now offers a superior quality component as a direct replacement for the original rubber bush.
This kit contains urethane bushes and provides the following improvements to your Lotus Esprit suspension.
• Minimal change in suspension geometry whilst cornering under heavy loads
• Enhanced road holding and steering performance
• Outstanding abrasion resistance which results in longer suspension service-life and less repair time
The new bushes are a split construction which simplifies installation and no modifications are required. The anti-roll bar bushes should be replaced per the procedure described in the Lotus Esprit workshop manual – see pages C4 and C5.
• Bush material - Urethane
• Bush construction – two piece
• Crush tube – steel solid billet
• Crush tube protective finish – Zinc plated, then passivated
These bushes are supplied in a kit which contains everything you need.
The kit contents are as follows: four urethane bushes, two crush tubes and two large thick washers.
Whilst replacing the bushes in the lower control arms, why not upgrade the anti-roll bar to chassis mounting bushes (Lotus part number A075C6005F) as we can also supply these in urethane.
