Lotus Marques offers a superior replacement clutch slave cylinder that is CNC machined from an alloy billet.
This billet alloy slave cylinder completely eliminates the possibility of fluid leaks caused by porosity in inferior cast cylinders.
The detail and precise CNC machining results in a very high quality component that suits the Lotus twin cam engine and 2000E gearbox combination.
This product has been re-designed from the original component and incorporates a bell housing locking lug.
This lug prevents the slave cylinder from rotating when the bleed nipple is undone to purge the hydraulic system.

1 x clutch slave cylinder, stainless steel piston and circlip.
1 x clutch slave cylinder seal overhaul kit comprising of hydraulic seal and rubber dust boot.
If a slave cylinder needs replacement, then it is recommended that both kits are purchased to ensure a fully operational installation.
CNC billet clutch slave cylinder for Lotus twin cam
- Manufactured using an Okuma CNC machining centre to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Material - Aluminium billet alloy.
- Weight - 110 grams
- Bore size - 7/8 inch (other bore sizes also available upon request).
- Integrated locking lug stops cylinder rotation during hydraulic fluid bleeding operation.
- Stainless steel piston to prevent future corrosion - no more problems, just fit and forget.
- External circlip supplied to make easy installation and removal of the cylinder.
- Second back-up circlip groove is provided which requires packing ring for correct fitting.
- Bleed valve orifice has a fully machined double angle seat to guarantee a seal.

The new Lotus twin cam clutch slave cylinder is fully CNC machined and ready to be installed.
If during fitting the cylinder does not fully engage in the bell-housing bracket, then a small amount of metal may be removed from the lug to enable the cylinder to locate correctly.
The vehicles that this clutch slave cylinder has been designed to suit are, Lotus Elan Series 1 through to Elan Series 4, Lotus Elan +2, Ford/Lotus Cortina twin cam and Ford/Lotus Escort twin cam.

Assembly tip
The rubber seal should be pressed onto the piston locating peg with the flared skirt pointing away from the piston body
When assembling the cylinder, it is advisable to lubricate the bore with rubber grease to allow the hydraulic seal and piston to enter easily.
