My Elan 67 SE S3, I've had for 42 years ,is as good as it looks and is driven twice a week on classic registration.
Some details on my Elan :-
Body off restoration in the nineties, original chassis strengthened, diff brace, then powder coated.
Body painted in original lotus yellow,new gelcoat .
Brakes reconditioned and aircraft brake lines fitted.
All other bits replaced where necessary, wheel bearings etc.
Original motor tweaked by Wayne Poulden, including port & polish head, medium lift camshaft etc.
Gearbox reconditioned by Mike Bennett, including chamfer of synchros.
Differential bearings replaced..
All in all a very "sorted" Elan,that still gets my adrenalin going !.....best drivers car ever and very forgiving for an old Codger.....but I was only 31 years old when I purchased it.
The rotoflex couplings,yellow dot, are still in excellent condition after all that time .... and yes I can still get in and out of it quite easily !
However, I still have a soft spot for the Lotus Elan +2 though.....

Derry has spent some time chasing after his next vehicle, a Lotus Elan 2+2
He has been caught at a week moment and purchased a Ferrari F355 GTS 6 speed
