Lotus Marques has known Geoff Winder since 1998 when he purchased his first Esprit.
He first brought his 1991 turbo-charged Esprit SE to Lotus Marques so it could be sorted out.
Having just purchased the Esprit SE, it was inundate with problems directly attributable to the previous owner.
Geoff drove from Sydney to Melbourne with a permanently closed waste-gate and some valves with zero tappet clearance.
The engine and turbo-charger underwent a total rebuild to transform the Esprit to a serviceable condition.
Geoff has moved on from the red Esprit SE to be involved with a project car that houses a very different power-plant.
The donor Lotus Esprit was sourced from the UK and imported into Australia.
