Another Lotus owner told me that some of the spin on oil filters don't have enough thread and can "blow-off " under pressure..
Are the filters supplied by Lotus Marques suitable and have sufficient thread to fully secure the filter and not "blow-off" ?

I do not know where the other Lotus owner buys his oil filters or what brand they are, but if he is not purchasing the correct filter then it may not fit correctly.
Providing you have the standard oil pump and the threaded section has not been modified then you would expect a quality filter (with the correct critical dimensions) to fit without any problems.
