QUESTION
I have just purchased a Lotus Elite with a fully dismantled Lotus 907 engine.
Could you please tell me where the temperature transmitter should be installed as its not immediately obvious.

ANSWER
The drawing of the 907 inlet manifold that shows the correct position of the temperature sender unit located in the coolant transfer casting.
There should be a small thread hole in between the inlet runners of #2 and #3 cylinder.
The temperature sender unit has an 1/8" x 27 NPT male thread with a 1/4" male spade electrical terminal.
This is the same component (Lotus part number A050M6136) that is fitted to the Lotus Elan +2, Esprit, Elite and Eclat.
