QUESTION
We have a customer's 1997 4 cylinder turbo Esprit in our workshop and need some assistance.
Need some information for the Esprit and are, wondering if you would know the r134a refrigerant capacity for the vehicle.
After carrying out some research, the only information I can find says that 850 grams is needed but thought I should check with you first.
Aso hunting down an ABS issue with the vehicle.
Wwhen the brake pedal is pushed in and then released the ABS warning light begins to flash on the dash and the car doesn't need to drive for the fault to happen ruling out wheel speed sensors.
We have checked wheel speed sensors, wiring, relays/fuses and was wondering if you had access to a wiring diagram or where I could find one.
Have you come across this issue before?
VMW - Western Australia
ANSWER
The correct amount of R134A refrigerant require to re-gas this Esprit is 1.1Kg
Yes, I have seen this problem before where the dashboard ABS warning ligh will flash after sucessive brake pedal applications
You have an ABS low pressure problem in the high pressure servo assist system.
You will need a high pressure test rig to check if its the accumulator or the control switch that is faulty
