QUESTION.
I have a 1992 Lotus Elan M100 turbo and cannot see how I can check the ignition timing with a timing light without taking off the drivers front wheel.
Is there an easy way of doing this so I have an un-obscured view of the crankshaft timing marks?
ANSWER.
You can do this by lifting the bonnet and securing it, then operate the head lamp pods so they are fully open
This will provided extra space to insert a timing light and a good viewing angle to observe the timing marks on the crankshaft pulley
