QUESTION.
My Lotus Elan S4 which has been running beautifully has broken one of the fingers on the pressure plate.
After doing everything possible to avoid taking the engine out I finally relented and identified the problem.
Having discovered it isn't as simple as going to the local clutch supplier to get a Ford replacement I'm interested to know how you can help.
1 Obviously the pressure plate needs to be replaced.
2 While the clutch plate shows little signs of wear it seems sensible to replace it.
3 The thrust bearing must be replaced.
Can you help with these three items, price and delivery and any advice that seems appropriate.

ANSWER.
Some questions for you
What gearbox do you have?
Why did one of the fingers on the diaphragm break?
Was the clutch over-stroked/over-centred?
What type of clutch pressure plate and release bearing were fitted when then problem occurred?
The standard Lotus Elan clutch parts can be viewed on the Lotus Marques web site at the following link
http://www.lotusmarques.com/parts/catalogue/lotus/44-elan-parts/258-elan-clutch-parts-four-speed
What bore diameter is the clutch slave cylinder?
What bore diameter is the clutch master cylinder?
I need to understand exactly what went wrong and why before I can help you
