QUESTION.
I am experiencing some movement in the rear axles of my Lotus Eclat ((ie the road wheel moves back relative to the body when the wheel locks up)
I have sent you some photos to help determine what is worn and which bushes need replacing.
Can you please advise?

ANSWER
If the wheel moves relative to the body on braking or when the brakes lock up, then the most likely cause of this will be the inner-forward-radius arm mounting where it joins at the chassis.
This is a large oval mounting with a crush tube, and has a steel flange with two bolt fixing.
This mounting is responsible for controlling for-aft movement and also controls the rear wheel toe-in by subtraction or addition of shims.
