QUESTION
I am currently restoring a Lotus Elan +2, could you tell me which side the engine mount spacers go?
I have them on the carburettor side, however I have noticed other people placing them in the exhaust side for clearance.
Which is the correct location?

ANSWER
The spacers should be installed between the exhaust side engine mount and the cylinder block
For further information, view our technical data sheet on the orientation and installation of Lotus Elan and Elan +2 engine mounts
NOTE CAREFULLY - For the standard Lotus 701M cylinder block, all four engine mount spacers should be 1.125" (28.75mm) long
