I've just installed an adjustable fan switch complete with modern slimline fans in my Lotus Excel.
With high temperatures in Spain, do you think it will be a good idea to improve the engine cooling with modern fans?
These fans are supplied without the cowling and would give better access to the front of the engine.

ANSWER
Please don't install new fans without the cowling.
If you do then you will have cross-talk (interference) between the fans.
Ultimately the cross-talk dramatically reduces the fan efficiency/cooling ability and will cause over-heating problems.
